Week 1 - Session 1: Group Exercise - Pro change in NZ flag

Another activity from the first class was to divide the class into four groups and tackle one of the topics of Ihi Wehi project.

For our group, we were assigned for Pro NZ flag change. Most of us haven't really gave thought about this national topic. The activity led us to brainstorm ideas why we must change our flag. Also, for our homework, our group have shared research online. We were also able to assign our speakers for the next class' debate.

By doing the research, I can now understand the importance of this topic. At first, my opinion rest entirely on the 26 million dollars that can be assigned to another social community. But by doing my part on the research and our group discussion, my opinion has changed that maybe changing the flag will help boost our national pride and identity.
